ウクライナ難民の方の付き添いで、この月曜日に東大病院に行き、患者を診てもらいました。さすが東京大学病院の医師だけあって、的確な診断をしていただきました。また、その先生は英語も堪能で、助かりました。やはり医学の専門用語となると、私にはハードルが高い気がします。でも通訳のマリナが頑張ってくれたおかげもあり、患者の症状を詳しく先生に伝えることが出来ました。
慣れない日本で病気を抱えての難民生活は、大変と思い、今後も支援を続けていきたいと思っております。

I accompanied a Ukrainian refugee to the University of Tokyo Hospital this past Monday to see a patient.
As expected of a doctor from the University of Tokyo Hospital, he was able to give an accurate diagnosis. The doctor was also fluent in English.
This was a great help. I still feel that I have a high hurdle when it comes to medical terminology.
But thanks to the efforts of Marina, my interpreter, I was able to tell the doctor about the patient's symptoms in detail.
I think it is hard to live as a refugee with a disease in unfamiliar Japan, and I would like to continue providing support in the future.
